The High School Musical star celebrated her birthday on the roof of New York's iconic Empire State Building on Friday night with her boyfriend, Austin Butler. It sure looked chilly on the exclusive VIP 103rd floor, but Vanessa had Austin's loving arms to keep her toasty as well as a beautiful black furry coat. The couple didn't seem to care about the blustery cold that night, with the beautiful skyline and the spectacular city lights to enjoy. Vanessa, who turned 24 that day, wanted to do something special for her birthday that she would remember always. Her happiness was evident as she posed for pictures with Austin on the edge of the roof with that gorgeous view in the background.
The Empire State Building opened in 1931 and was the tallest building of the world, and has played a role in many romantic movies including An Affair to Remember and Sleepless in Seattle. Vanessa no doubt had that in mind as she admired the view, her luxurious dark hair swept back from her face and the soft collar of her coat pulled up to the tips of her ears. Austin, 21, who is also an actor, was warmly dressed in a dark wool coat and grey dress shirt underneath. The Sucker Punch star and her beau have been glued to each other's side since they started dating 14 months ago, with lavish public displays of affection left and right. The pair managed to keep their lovey-dovey behavior on the back burner while taking in the Los Angeles Lakers vs New York Knicks game at Madison Square Garden on Thursday.
