According to a new study the endearment 'babe' has been voted the most hated pet name for women. The term was made popular by Sonny and Cher's Sixties hit, I Got You Babe. The others that made it to the most hated list are 'sweetcheeks', 'snookums' and 'muffin'. Terms like 'gorgeous', 'beautiful' and 'lovely' were considered acceptable.
