The wedding bells are ringing, but those opting for arranged marriages in the city have a new task at hand before the relationships are sealed. Our Sherlock Holmes are working overtime to find out check on the background of the grooms! More than men, it's the women who are coming forward to employ sleuths to run a check.
Says Rajdeep Singh, director at Hawks Eye Detective agency, says, "Most of the enquiries these days revolve are about marital issues. Out of all these cases, post-marital investigation forms one third of all marital inquiries. There has been an enormous rise in cases of post-marital affairs in recent years. In most cases, both partners were found to be working. But what is noticeable is girls are becoming more careful about choosing their life partner. Girls, who employ the services of detective agencies, are now interested in finding out about the relationship status of the guy, their habits and income."
Rahul Rai, senior executive at Veteran Investigation Services says that surprisingly, it's women who are approaching the detective agencies more than men. "Around 70% of our queries are about post-marital affairs. The rest is for pre-marital checks. Women today are financially independent and have the privilege to choose their life partners. They want stability in marriage and hence are careful about taking all precautions to choose a life partner." ...
